Shared journeys, personal experiences

Our group tours are designed for travelers who enjoy the pleasure of sharing a journey with like-minded people, while still experiencing Italy in a way that feels personal, warm, and far removed from mass tourism.

These are not large coach tours built around rushed sightseeing and crowded schedules. They are small-group walking holidays created for guests who want a more meaningful experience of Italy: slower, richer, and more connected to the places, people, food, and landscapes that make each region unique.

Each itinerary is carefully planned and fully organized from start to finish. The routes, accommodations, meals, tastings, local encounters, and logistics are all arranged in advance, so guests can relax and simply enjoy the journey. Our scheduled tours are built around a clear format that already appears across the site: most are 7 days and 6 nights, with guaranteed departure, and each has a clearly indicated walking level, from easy to moderate depending on the destination.

What makes our group tours special is the balance they offer. On one hand, everything important is taken care of: guiding, transfers during the tour, selected meals, signature experiences, and the rhythm of the week. On the other, the atmosphere remains relaxed and human. There is time to talk, to laugh, to ask questions, to discover places gradually, and to enjoy the company of fellow travelers without ever feeling part of an anonymous crowd.

italian guides

Our group tours are led by Italians who know the land from the inside and who do not simply “escort” a group from one stop to another. They interpret the region, introduce local people, share stories, and help guests experience Italy through its everyday life as much as through its beauty. This Italian-led approach is one of the defining principles of Walk About Italy.

A typical group tour combines gentle walks, beautiful scenery, meals rooted in regional traditions, and encounters with local producers, artisans, cooks, and hosts. Whether in Tuscany, Sicily, Puglia, the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, the Lakes, or the Dolomites, the spirit remains the same: to experience Italy step by step, in good company, and at a pace that allows each place to be truly felt.

Group tours are ideal for travelers who appreciate structure without stiffness. They suit couples, solo travelers, and friends who want the ease of an organized trip, the reassurance of expert guidance, and the added pleasure of sharing memorable moments with others around the table and along the trail.

In essence, our group tours are organized so that guests can enjoy the best part of travel: the experience itself. We take care of the planning. You enjoy the journey.
