We just completed our fourth tour with Walk About Italy and we loved the Dolomites tour just as much as our previous tours. Roberto and Rudy are excellent guides - very informative, engaging, and simply fun to be around. My wife and I joined a group of 8 others and felt like we became friends by our first dinner together. It is one of the things I love about Gianni's tours, we have become friends with people from around the world and at the end of each tour we hate to part ways. Besides the beautiful scenery of the Dolomites, delicious food, and wonderful accommodations, I also love the detailed planning and organization of each tour.

Fantastic Dolomites Tour
I cannot rate this walking/tour company highly enough. They definitely go the extra mile. The guides are informative, kind, patient and accommodating. The group size was great. Staff at each hotel as well as the staff at Walk about Italy, are prompt to answer emails and accommodating when things suddenly change. The atmosphere was fun throughout the trip. It was a 6 day walking tour Amalfi Coast. I also think that the price we paid was reasonable for all that we received. I would walk with this company again.

I participated in a walking tour of Tuscany in May. Everything about the tour was special - from the incredibly funny guide to the magnificent scenery to the delicious food and cosy hotels. Gianni is a highly knowledgeable, empathetic host with a great sense of humour. The group size is just right - you can spend time with those you like, avoid those you don't and spend as much time on your own as you want. The pace of walking was quick but fairly easy, and you felt your earned your lunch each day! I came home fit, rested and relaxed. I will definitely be doing this again!

A gem!
I can really recommend the Sicily walk having just returned after a walking tour with 6 other couples, all friends of ours. The walks were just strenuous enough to know that you earned the spectacular lunch that was to come, but not difficult by any means. It was particularly hot our first three days with the Sirocco winds blowing, but each day we got to have a swim in the sea or a river - so that was very welcome. This was my second experience with Walk About Italy, having done Tuscany in 2019 with another group of friends - all girls that time. The food was spectacular and the hotels really good Highly recommended

Walking difficulty guide

Distance: Moderate daily walking time and distance, suitable for travellers who enjoy being active outdoors for a good part of the day.
Elevation gain: More consistent and clearly noticeable, though still within the reach of anyone with a basic to good level of fitness.
Who it is for: Best for active travellers who are comfortable walking for several hours a day and can handle some uneven terrain and sustained inclines.
